Our Mission

The BC Inline Hockey Association has been created to govern and lead the sport of Inline hockey in British Columbia. We hope to give both elite and recreational players as much opportunity to enjoy the sport of roller hockey on local, provincial, national and international levels.

Our Vision

Building from the original 3 charter members, the BCIHA will endeavor to expand into communities across BC to add and support new leagues into the Association.

As the provincial governing body, the BCIHA offers their members in good standing a number of exciting features to attract and retain inline hockey players in your community. Some of those features include:

  • Standard playing rules adhered to province-wide
  • Officials Development Program
  • Competitive & recreational programs in every BC League.
  • Competitive & recreational tournaments and events.
  • Development clinics at most BC Leagues
  • A network of established leagues working together


Participation in the provincial association to foster the growth of inline hockey in BC.

Affiliation with other organizations (NIHA-Canada, Hockey Alberta Inline, Manitoba Inline, Ontario Minor Roller Hockey, BC Hockey, Hockey Canada, Sport BC, NARCh, etc) that support and value the sport.

Products and services through affiliation, such as insurance, rule books, promotional material, jerseys, pucks, coaching and official clinics & manuals, etc.
Comprehensive Liability & Accident insurance for Players, Officials, Volunteers, League Operators

Invitation to participate in events sanctioned by association and affiliates. (Provincial, National, Global tournaments)

Experienced league operators from a variety of structures (non-profit, recreation centre program, private enterprise) that can assist your league in matters that concern your specific situation.
Communicate with other Leagues/Players to keep up-to-date with the latest happenings in the world of roller hockey

Membership Fee

$300.00 per annum per league + Player/Ref Fees
